A Message from Dave's Family (posted
Mar 11, 2009)
If you are reading this right now then you already know that David has not come home. We all know that David didn't walk away from his life, he was taken from it. It is unfortunate that there are people that walk around knowing what happened to Dave, and they have not yet taken responsibility for their actions. It is a sad world when someone can take another's life and continue on with their own life.
Dave missed out on a lot over the last 6+ years: His grandma’s 80th birthday in 2003, Christmas’, family functions, nieces and nephews growing up, 50th birthdays of both his parents, sister’s birthdays, his beloved dog “Zeus” passing away etc. Dave’s grandmother will be 86 years old this year, and we are praying that we will have the answers before she passes. She has even asked if Dave could be buried with her and Dave’s grandfather. It pains us to know that Dave will not be able to "move on" without the closure that his family needs.
For those individuals that are responsible for Dave’s disappearance; imagine your son being taken from you. Put yourself in our shoes. All we ask for is closure, the right to know what happened to our son and brother. We are praying that you are brave enough to come forward with the information that would help all of us to move on with our lives. This will never go away and we can only assume that it is a great weight on your shoulders.
For us as a family, there are many questions and we continue to suffer without the answers. Maybe there are explainable reasons why Dave has not been found. Until we get answers for why this mistake happened, our grief continues.
